VAST China annual supplier conference was held in Taicang onJan.10^th.2018, there are over 200 enterprise administrators fromabout 100 key suppliers attended this grand event, they shared the joys ofglorious achievement what VCN had made in 2017 and listened to the expectationabout purchasing, quality & logistic from VAST China, meanwhile thesuppliers surveyed the prospect of business development in China automotivemarket with VAST China. Including VCN president Mr.William Zhang, Financial VPMr. Andy Wang, Engineering VP Mr. Yang Jian, Quality VP Mr. Martin Hennig &Program Director Ms. Joyce Gao etc. core management team were present on theconference.

VCN always attach importance to the cooperation relationship withsuppliers, hence the title of this event is “Solidarity, Collaboration, MutualBenefit”, which generalize the strategic relationship with suppliers andexpressed the strong willing to grow together with partners from suppliers.

The conference started from a short video show which introducedthe achievement VCN made in past decades and new facilities development status,also it showed great vision of business expanding in the coming future.

Mr. William Zhang made open speech to emphasize the title of thisevent, that mindsets of trust, sharing, win-win concept are basic to keepfavourable relationship between purchasing and sales.

VCN purchasing director Mr. John Ren made speech about “VCNpurchasing survey”, which presented the increasing trend of purchasing value ofVCN, which strengthened suppliers’ confidence of business development fromVCN’s new projects. Meanwhile, John also mentioned the tough challenges wemight met along with the opportunities, such as cost pressure, tighterdevelopment timing, higher quality requirement etc., final he pointed out theroadmap how to overcome these challenges in action plan of 2018 from purchasingperspective.

Mr. Yang Jian led the review of new production development of 2017with suppliers, pointed out the disadvantages in suppliers’ sites, emphasizedhis expectation about supplier’s earlier involvement into design phases.

VCN logistical director Mr. Jacky Yang presented suppliers’performance from logistic perspective including on-time delivery, service etc.,and introduce improvement plans about parts-on-lines settlement, packagestandardization etc.

Mr. Martin Hennig propagandized the concept of “zero defect” tothe suppliers after presented the excellence quality performance of VCN of 0kilometers & markets, he guided the continuous improvement direction fromstrategically advantageous view, then SQE manager Mr. Adrian Ji reviewed thesupplier performance with KPI in detailed and analyzed main problems, announcedthe action plans for supplier improvements and training.

Finally, Purchasing manager Ben Shi made a short summary aboutthis event with three “better”, “better price, better quality, betterdelivery”.

To express the appreciation to the suppliers,John announced the award of excellent suppliers in 2017, they are ShanghaiCamplas, Shanghai Hua’an, Mabuchi Motor and Worwag Coatings, therepresentatives from above  suppliers were awarded with trophies from Mr.William Zhang.
