The celebration of VAST Jingzhou Plant Phase1 grand opening was held on 7th/ September 2020.  Jingzhou Plant is an important strategic step of VAST in central China for the future success of VAST Group.  Its official start of production is a crucial milestone for the development of VAST in China enabling our business to reach extra capacity provided by 25,600 square meters phase1 building to our major customers in China’s automotive industry.

The main products for Jingzhou Plant will be Outside Door Handle produced by new designed process and technology, specifically the new painting line with 18million DH sets capacity. In additional, as a new footprint of manufacturing plant in China, Jingzhou Plant provided a strategic flexibility for other mature products manufacturing. Prior to launching the Outside Door Handle production, Front Hood Latch/Tail Gate Handle such assembly products will be transferred from VAST Taicang Plant for a better production strategy planning in China.

Looking back the journey of Jingzhou Plant: from the investment contract signed with Local Government in July 2018, to the groundbreaking in January 2019, completion of main construction in June 2019, first assembly line transferred from Taicang to Jingzhou for testing in September 2019, started series production by overcoming COVID-19 influence in May 2020, and the achievement of over 8 million RMB sales in August 2020, every single day from the groundbreaking to the official start of production was marked by the VAST speed and the great support from VAST global , as well as the joint efforts and hard work of all our VAST China employees.
