On Jan 14,2020, the 2020 FAW-Volkswagen Supplier Conference was held in Changchun with the theme of Transform for a New Future. Changchun Municipal Government, shareholders of the joint venture, members of the FAW-VW management committee, leaders from relative departments and representatives of supplier partners attended the event. As a partner of FAW-VW for many years, VAST China won the title of 2019 Development Pioneer presented for its innovation capabilities in technology and products, as well as its outstanding business cooperation performance. Mr. Wayne Bird, CEO Customer Centers, attended the event and received the award.

In the face of a tough Chinese market environment in 2019, a number of products jointly developed by VAST and FAW-VW, for models including the new Sagitar and Q3, have been put into production, which has helped the car manufacturer grow in defiance of the overall decline both in production and sales. In addition, projects with joint development for new models such as its MEB platform lays a solid foundation for further mutual cooperation and development.

Meanwhile, in the past year of 2019, VAST and FAW-VW development teams also worked together and developed the next generation hidden door handle. We shared our excellent development experience from past projects in the beginning of the development for the new product, working closely with FAW-VW’s engineering department in defining the design proposal, functional needs and approval criteria, etc. In the later stages of the development, VAST mobilized our personnel and equipment for internal and external technical presentation, promotion and exchange of information at the customer in order to best satisfy end customer needs with our product. Feedbacks from end users were also used to optimize and improve the functionality of the products with the goal of meeting user needs, to help the final car model gain market approval.

VAST China will continue to deepen our partnership and close relationship for mutual growth, work together with FAW-VW to speed up our investment for new technological development, and also join hands with VAST LLC to create a better future!
