December 2020, an expert audit team was arranged by SGS to coInduct the first stage document and second stage on-site audits at VAST China and its Jingzhou factory. The audit team conducted a comprehensive audit on 22 processes of the company based on the business plan, involving all functional departments and production sites covering all elements of the standard.

Jingzhou factory obtained the IATF 16949:2016 certificate in March 2021 as VAST China also received certificate as a remote supporting location (policy development, strategy planning, marketing, customer service, product design, procurement, supplier management, laboratory, testing). The award of IATF certificate represents that the operation of the quality management system at Jingzhou plant meets the IATF standard, that the group level quality management system of VAST meets the IATF requirements, and that the VAST QMS has stepped into a new stage.

Jingzhou plant was able to pass the certificate at first attempt thanks to the completion of objectives at each stage as planned by the entire team with the guidance from the management:

2019——VAST group level quality management system was planned and developed in the beginning of the construction of Jingzhou plant, to realize plant-side QMS at Taicang and Jingzhou locations;

2020——Trial operation of Jingzhou plant which obtained IATF Letter of Conformity and ISO9001 certificate;

2020——First time approval of customer audits.

2021——Jingzhou factory obtained the official IATF 16949 certificate.

Care and support from management level were provided every step of the way to clarify the direction and eliminate the risks for Jingzhou plant. Both sites under the leadership of VCN worked towards the same goal. Congratulations to the VAST team!
