The construction of the painting line at VAST (Jingzhou) Plant started from the beginning of October 2020. In the six-month period until the end of March 2021, VAST (Jingzhou) Plant completed most of the installation of equipment and facilities needed for the painting project as well as the recruitment and training of relevant personnel, and started the commissioning of the main painting line in early April. The first batch of 60 handle cover painted products for the concealed handle project was produced successfully on April 8, 2021, with a brief ceremony celebrating this crucial milestone for the Jingzhou plant.

The painting line at Jingzhou plant is a world-class highly intelligent automatic spraying production line, with design optimization by domestic and foreign experts from the experience of Taicang plant and overseas painting line within the VAST Alliance. The painting line achieves a connected layout of paint mixing, supply and painting zones, with turntable type tooling loading and a “one-chain” style conveying approach, wall separation between feeding and unloading area and spraying area. Industrial robots are used for surface cleaning and spraying along the entire line, achieving 100% automation and real time monitoring, which represents the advanced level of spraying technology in the industry.

The successful trial production of the painting line at Jingzhou plant as scheduled by the company represents a strategically important progress for VAST Jingzhou Plant and for VAST China as a whole, which is a solid step towards strengthening VAST China‘s competitiveness and future business development. The team at Jingzhou plant team will continue to work diligently on the subsequent commissioning of the production line, development of new projects and customer approval, and strive for the early mass production for the painting line.
