In order to smoothly transfer the tailgate handle production line from Taicang to Jingzhou plant, we initiated BYD's laboratory accreditation for our lab, after which the customer would accept the test results and reports from the tests we perform internally.

On December 29 and 30, 2020, VAST China invited the audit agency designated by BYD Auto Industry Company, Ltd. to the lab for a two-day lab audit. This accreditation adds to the list of OEM approvals for our lab including from GM, VW, Geely, JAC, etc.

From December 29 to 30, 2020, Mr. Su from DNV GL Business Assurance (China) Co. Ltd. conducted an audit of the company’s laboratory based on ISO/IEC17025:2017 focusing on laboratory personnel, facilities and environmental conditions, equipment management, measurement traceability, requirements for externally provided products and services, tender and contract review, method selection, verification and validation, disposal of test items, technical records, documentation, ensurance of the validity of results, and reporting results. According to the audit plan, Mr. Su also conducted interviews with relevant responsible individuals inquiring about their engagement in the laboratory system, including the necessary support provided, as well as process documents involved in the daily operation of lab personnel.

During the on-site audit, the auditor conducted audit on the production are and the on-site use of test equipment, as well as the demonstration of on-site tests performed by our lab’s test personnel.

Mr. Su provided some suggestions for improvement for the company's laboratory quality management system. No serious non-conformities were found during the accreditation audit. The audit was successfully complete with active participation and cooperation of all the staff at the VAST China lab. After a two-week rectification period for non-conformity items, the lab obtained the qualification certificate issued by BYD Auto Industry Company Ltd. Accreditation Committee on January 15, 2021.
